Anna B. Stroud, 75, of Nichols passed away peacefully Monday, June 3, 2019 at Loris Rehab and Nursing Center with her family by her side. She was born in Horry County on October 28, 1943, a daughter of the late Joe Johnson and Belle Capps Johnson. Anna was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She had a daycare in her home in the Cedar Creek Community for nearly thirty years. Anna loved the beach and nothing made her happier than to be next to the ocean. She also enjoyed shopping while she was at the beach.

In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by five sisters, Hazel Adams, Arlene Skipper, Maybeth Herring, Ernestine Gilbert, and Mary Jo Jenkins.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Jimmy Stroud of Nichols; two sons, Greg Stroud of Nichols and Anthony Stroud of Wilmington; her daughter, Pam Stroud of Nichols, a brother, Mike Johnson (Sandy) of Conway; two grandchildren, Ashleigh Holmes (Christopher) and Blair Barfield (Joel), and three great-grandchildren, Case Holmes, Becca Faye Holmes, and Lakelyn Barfield.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in the sanctuary of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Maxie Hardee and Reverend Gordon Graham officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols.
