Armond Sandon Mincey, 72, of Nichols passed away at his home following a period of declining health.  He was born in Marion County on January 6, 1949, the son of the late Arthur Blake "A.B." Mincey and the late Berline Hooks Mincey.

Armond spent most of his adult life in his eighteen-wheeler as a truck driver. He also enjoyed farming. His greatest joy, however, was his family and especially his grandson, Blake.

In addition to his parents, Armond is predeceased by a sister, Linda Mincey Bailey.

Armond is survived by two sons, Sandon Mincey and his wife, Wanda and Chuck Mincey and his wife, Andrea, all of Nichols; grandsons, Blake Mincey and his wife, Abby of Galivants Ferry and Lance Roberts of Nichols; great-grandchildren, Levi Mincey, Caleb Roberts and Anna Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Mincey Cemetery in Nichols with Reverend Dale Willoughby officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
