Sumter-

Betty L. Bullock, 83, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Sumter Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Napoleon and Lula Pridgen Hewitt.

Mrs. Bullock was predeceased by her husband, Lonnie Lee Bullock and a grandchild.

She is survived by a son, Lonnie E. (Neide) Bullock of Nichols; two daughters, Hilda Etheridge of Sumter, and Missie (David) Caulder of Mullins; a brother, Wade Hewitt of Chadbourn, N.C.; a sister, Leona (Earl) Ward of Hallsboro, N.C.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014 in the sanctuary of Wildwood Freewill Baptist Church in Nichols. Funeral services will follow the visitation in the sanctuary at 3:00 p.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
