Bobby
Perritte
Jun 2, 1942 — Aug 24, 2022
Fork
Bobby Gordon Perritte, 80, of Fork passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. He was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on June 2, 1942, the son of the late Leo Robert Perritte, Sr. and the late Geneva Evans Perritte.
Bobby was a beloved and longtime member of the Fork Community. A humble and kind man, he owned and operated Bobby Perritte Grocery for over forty-one years, where he made many friends. People looked forward to stopping by the store for conversation and good food. Bobby thought he was ready to retire, but he missed seeing the many friends he made through the years. It was then that he opened the Ole Schoolhouse Grill, which he operated for the last four years. His wife, Sandra was always right there by his side, and together they made the store and restaurant a favorite for the locals as well as people traveling through the area. Bobby and Sandra enjoyed going to the beach and cruising the boulevard in his 1969 red convertible. Win or lose, Bobby was an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan. He was also a longtime member of Fork Presbyterian Church, where he served his Lord and Savior as a Deacon and Elder of the church.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was predeceased by a brother, Larry Eugene Perritte and a sister, Annette Perritte Richardson.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Sandra Collins Perritte, a daughter, Kim Perritte Stone and her husband, Michael of Mullins; two brothers, Frankie Perritte (Tara) and L.R. Perritte, Jr. both of Fork; three grandchildren, Tanner Jordan of Mullins, Alex Stone of Wagner, and Ashley Stone of Aiken; a sister-in-law, Mary Sue Perritte of Fork, Sandra's brothers, Dr. Richie Collins of Charlotte and Ronnie Collins (Wanda) of Marion; adopted grandson, Luke Coleman; his Ole Schoolhouse Grill staff, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Bobby's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022 in the chapel of Meares Funeral Home of Mullins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
