Bonnie
Little
May 3, 1934 — Oct 13, 2025
Nichols
Bonnie Carolyn Elliott Little, age 91, of Nichols, South Carolina, passed away peacefully October 13, 2025, at home and entered into her eternal walk with Christ. Born on May 3, 1934, in the Floyds Community of Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Mayberry Elliott and Dollie Leona Ganis Elliott.
Over her nine decades, Bonnie was blessed with 72 years of marriage to the love of her life, James Coy "Jimmy" Little, and was blessed with four amazing children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was the heart of her family and poured her love into caring for them. She spent the majority of her adult life as a homemaker, while also having a career as the manager of the Nichols Elementary School cafeteria where she utilized her passion for cooking and her love for others. Her kind spirit allowed her to treat every child that came through the lunch line as if they were her own. This passion was abundant amongst her church and community. She was a devoted member of Wannamaker Baptist Church for most of her life, where she was actively involved with the choir, Sunday School, social activities and many other committees. Just as she had a deep-rooted Christian faith, she had a passion and gift for gardening flowers and produce. She was known for cultivating, canning, and sharing her fresh produce as a ministry of love for others. She spent many years compassionately caregiving for friends and family in the community. If you came looking for Bonnie, she was likely at Wannamaker Baptist Church, in the garden, or in her pristine kitchen making cheese straws, lady fingers, pimento cheese, and other delights for the enjoyment of others. She will be perpetually remembered for her love of the Lord, strong work ethic, giving nature, and her everlasting love for her husband and family. She was immensely influential in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and all those blessed to have known her.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Clarence Elliott, Donald Elliott, Rupert Elliott, and James "Carlisle" Elliott.
Survivors include her loving husband of 72 years, her four children whom she wildly adored: Richard Little (Priscilla), Sharon Little, Beverly Lewis (Bob), and James "Ray" Little; six grandchildren, Whitney Owens (Dawn), Casson Humphrey (Jonathan), Wesley Lewis, Stacey Owens (Rhett), James "Bubba" Little (Sarah), and Ray "Coy" Little (Mallie); five great-grandchildren, Nicholas Owens, Elliott Humphrey, Abigail Little, Ridge Little, Walker Little, and Owen Little.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2025, in the sanctuary of Wannamaker Baptist Church, 3985 Duford Road in Nichols, South Carolina. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Shawn Brashear officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. The family will also be receiving friends at the Little home. If you would like to honor Mrs. Bonnie, please feel free to wear red, her favorite color.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Amedisys Home Health staff, Patriot Palliative Care staff, and her devoted caregivers from Griswold Home Care for the compassionate care provided to their loved one.
If you would like to remember Bonnie, the family suggests that memorials be made in her memory to Riverside Care, 8431 Elvington Road, Nichols, South Carolina 29581.
