Mullins- Bruce Carol Huggins, 74, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Horry County, he was the son of the late Ira Lide and Thelma Mills Huggins. Some of Bruce's favorite things were fast cars, Nascar racing, baseball, gardening and cooking. He loved his family very much, and was a loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. Bruce was predeceased in addition to his parents, by a brother, William Wayne Huggins, Sr., a sister, Faye Douglas Huggins, and a granddaughter, Kinsey Anne Huggins. He is survived by a son, Wendell C. (Anne) Huggins of Mullins, two daughters, Cheryl H. (Bruce) Ryals of Charleston, S.C. and Rhonda (Andy) Young of Thonotosassa, Florida; the mother of his children, Bonnie F. Gibson of Florence; six grandchildren, Daleigh and Kelby Huggins, Bryce Ryals, and A.J., Charli, and Alana Young. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:30 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols. Memorials may be made to Wannamaker Baptist Church, 3985 Duford Road, Nichols, South Carolina 29581.
