Nichols- Carl Edwin Stroud, 70, of Nichols died Monday, April 22, 2013 at Regency Hospital in Florence surrounded by his family. He was born in Horry County, a son of the late Harrison McGee and Mary Frances Harrelson Stroud. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by a brother, Tom Stroud. Mr. Stroud is survived by his wife, Bonnie Faye Stroud of Nichols; two sons, Carl E. ( Denise) Stroud of Fork and John E. (Lindsay) Stroud of Loris; a daughter, Sheila J. Stroud (Mark) Lewis of Mullins; three brothers, Maxie Stroud of Lake View, Cecil (Pearl) Stroud of Aynor, and Randy Stroud of Nichols; two sisters, Mildred Turner of Aynor and Mary Frances (K.D.) Crowley of Nichols; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Nichols directed by Meares Funeral Home of Mullins.
