Carol C. Collins, 79, of Gresham passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at MUSC Marion. He was born in Marion County on July 31, 1941, the son of the late Clyde Collins, Sr. and the late Marie Treadway Collins.

Carol was a retired truck driver with Southeastern Freight Line and served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, a good cigar and spending time with his dog, Charlie.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, William, Walter, and Grady Collins and two sisters, Ruby Mae Lynch and Minnie Bell Sarvis.

He is survived by a brother, Clyde Collins, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Mullins and a sister, Lottie Ruth Jones of Marion.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Meares Funeral Home of Mullins. Funeral services will follow in the chapel of the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday with burial at Tabernacle Cemetery.
