Carolyn Edwards Ford, 70 of Mullins, slipped away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 6, 2022 at MUSC Marion Medical Center. She was born in Marion County on December 2, 1951, the daughter of the late William Rupert Edwards and the late Dorothy Ford Edwards.

Carolyn was a humble and gentle woman, who loved her Lord and Savior and lived by His word. She impacted many people in her life with her Christian example, her many years of faithful praying, her joy in singing his praises as a part of the church choir and as a member of the Women's Missionary Society at Zion Southern Methodist Church. Carolyn would often visit the nursing home and share God's love with the patients there. In this way, she came to know the patients and the staff who welcomed her, when she became a patient there herself. Carolyn loved music and dancing and her beloved and only son, BJ and his family.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, William Gordon "Billy" Ford, Sr. and brothers, Eddie Edwards and Ralph Edwards.

She is survived by a son, William Gordon "BJ" Ford, Jr. and his wife, Jeana of Valdosta, Georgia; two grandchildren, AnnaClaire Elizabeth Ford and William Jacob Ford; two brothers, Ansel Edwards and his wife, Beth of Gresham and Danny Edwards of Dillon.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in the sanctuary of Zion Southern Methodist Church in Zion. Funeral services will follow the visitation on Tuesday, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Elvington-Ford Cemetery in Nichols.
