Mullins- Daniel Casarez, 66, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence with his family by his side. He was born in Houston, Texas, a son of the late Daniel Casarez, Sr. and Gloria Cantu Casarez. He was a subcontractor for Strader Management Incorporated. Danny had a loving and generous heart and was always giving to others. He was predeceased in addition to his father, by a sister, Maria Alvarez. Danny is survived by his mother, Gloria Cantu Casarez of Mullins; his wife, Bea Casarez, four sons, Daniel Casarez III, Ricardo Casarez, Jose Luis Casarez, and Andrew Ray Casarez; one daughter, Naomi Casarez Borrego; and three sisters, Dalila Sanchez, Gloria Casarez, and Norma Casarez. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2014 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Catholic Church of the Infant in Marion, South Carolina.
