Nichols- Doris Richardson Stroud, 75, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Marion County Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Marion County, a daughter of the late William Bill and Lucie Smith Richardson. She was a member of Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Stroud is survived by her husband, Vanoy Stroud; one daughter, Ann (Allen) Blackwell of Mullins; one sister, Carolyn (James) Coleman of Summerville, S.C.; three grandchildren, Jessie Liston Blackwell, Christopher Allen Blackwell, and Julie Ann Blackwell, and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church.
