Elizabeth Louise Bracey Britt, 89, of Myrtle Beach and also the Spring Branch community of Nichols, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 in Myrtle Beach. She was born in Fairmont, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Aubra Carl and Harriett Leggett Bracey. Mrs. Britt had worked at the Pentagon as Executive Assistant for the Deputy Director of Civilian Personnel. She loved to travel and shop, but her greatest love was for her family and her dog, Lucy.

She was predeceased, in addition to her parents, by two brothers, A.C. Bracey and Robert Henry Bracey, and two sisters, Marilyn Barbot and Nell Lamb.

Mrs. Britt is survived by her sons, Robert Gary Britt (Janice) of Myrtle Beach and Steve Britt of Nichols; two sisters, Eleanor (Ed) Grainger of Columbia and Ann Fowler (Allen) of Proctorville, NC; and a granddaughter, Natalie Renee Britt. Mrs. Britt is in the care of Meares Funeral Home of Mullins.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2017 at Kemper Baptist Church Cemetery, 736 Kemper Church Road, Lake View, South Carolina. Visitation with the family, following the service, will be held at the Kemper School House adjacent to the cemetery.
