Conway- Elnita Rabon Johnson, 84, died Monday, November 7, 2011 at Conway Medical Center. She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Furnie and Zonnie Ruth Johnson. Mrs. Rabon was preceded in death by her first husband, Grayer Rabon; three brothers, Isaac, James, and Furnie Rabon Jr., a daughter, Reitha Collins Skipper; a loving son-in-law, Willie Ray, and two special pets, Smokey and Cocoa. Survivors include her husband Ernest Johnson of Conway; a daughter, Charity Herring of Conway; two brothers, Joe (Jenny) Rabon of Hartsville, and Ernest (Louise) Rabon of High Point, N.C.; two sisters, Shirley (Jimmy) Martin of High Point, N.C. and Sara Jane (Lee) Rowell of Augusta, Georgia; three grandchildren, Chasity (Shaun) Doyle of Conway, Edward Collins, and Teresa Potter, and a loving pet, Rabbit. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in the chapel of Meares Funeral Home in Mullins.
