Nichols-

Eric Justin Stroud, 26, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014. He was born in Marion County, a son of Kevin Stroud and the late Janet Martin Stroud. Eric loved dogs and could often be found showing his hunting dogs at competitions around the area.

Eric was predeceased by his mother, Janet Martin Stroud; his maternal grandparents, Roy and Mae Belle Martin, and his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Stroud.

He is survived by his father, Kevin Stroud of Nichols; his fianc, Lindsey Sarvis of Conway; a brother, Calaeb Stroud of Nichols; a sister, Carrie Lynn Stroud of Nichols, his grandparents, Cecil and Pearl Stroud of Nichols, and Lindseys parents, Bill and Wendy Sarvis of Conway.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service and at other times at the Stroud home, 8944 Old Nichols Highway, Nichols, S.C.
