Evelyn Mike Petros, 93, of Mullins, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Mullins Nursing Center. She was born in Mullins, South Carolina on January 26, 1928, the daughter of the late Mike Petros and the late Anastasia Kardaras Petros.

Evelyn was well-known for her skills in the kitchen. She owned and operated her own restaurant, Evelyn's, for many years. Located in Hilton Head, the restaurant attracted many tennis players and golfers. Evelyn was an avid reader and kept lists of all the books that she had ever read, all organized by author. She was an organizer and always had everything in its proper place. She enjoyed solving word puzzles and playing solitaire and bridge. Playing bridge was something that she greatly missed as her health declined. She was a member of Mullins Presbyterian Church and always had a genuine smile for others.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by a brother, Dr. Peter Michael Petros and a sister, Olga Petros Kirby.

She is survived by her godchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and a sister, Tula Petros Carroll of Myrtle Beach.

A graveside service where the family will lay Evelyn to rest will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Cedardale Cemetery.
