Green Sea- Frances Gail Blanton, 65, of Green Sea, died Thursday, July 2, 2015 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, after an illness. She passed away with her loving family by her side, and is once again with her precious son, Benji. Mrs. Blanton was the daughter of the late Frank Jackson and Eugenia Suggs Jackson. She was a school teacher for 28 years, and an avid GSF Trojan fan. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her Gal Pals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Benji Blanton. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Randy; her daughter, Jill Ard (Banning) and her two grandchildren, Eli and Emma Cate, all of Pamplico; seven siblings, Billy Jackson (Donna) of Goose Creek, Danny Jackson, Cindy Jackson, and Steve Jackson, all of Tabor City, NC, Ken Jackson of Keavy, KY, Dennis Todd of Winder, GA, and Donald Todd of Cayce, SC; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 5th in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Blanton Cemetery in Nichols.
