Mullins- George Robert Owens, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at his daughters home in Graniteville, S.C. He was born in Marion, a son of the late Alonza and Vera White Owens. George served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He was a Mason and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. George is survived by two daughters, Dina Owens (John) Tzezairlidis of Tampa, Florida and Olivia Kerri Owens and her fianc Brian Tyler of Graniteville; a brother, Charles N. (Elaine) Owens of Mullins; and four grandchildren, Vera Adrian Sawyer and Aaron Nicholas Sawyer of Graniteville and Ekaterina Eva Tzezairlidis and George Gaston Tzezairlidis of Tampa, Florida. A service to celebrate Georges life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the chapel of Meares Funeral Home of Mullins. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Charles N. Owens, 8004 High Ridge Place, Mullins, S.C.
