Mullins- Grace Owens Brown, 84, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Hannibal Owens and Annie Lewis Owens Collins. Together with her husband Bob, they operated Sanitary Cleaners in Mullins for twenty years. Grace will always be remembered for her vibrant personality and her love for her family and friends. Mrs. Brown was predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Brown Sr. and a great-grandchild, Harris Grayson Blackmon. She is survived by a son, Robert H. Bob (Kathy) Brown Jr. of Marion; a daughter, Cynthia B. Cindy (Tommy) Anderson of Mullins; three brothers, Connie Ray (Margie) Collins of Nichols, Jimmy (Gayle) Collins of North Carolina, and Ronnie (Ann) Collins of Mullins; two grandchildren, Cayce (Keith) Blackmon and Amanda (David) Garrison; two great-grandchildren, Jamison and Kaleigh Blackmon; and two very special friends, Joyce and June. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the chapel of Meares Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedardale Cemetery.
