Nichols- Herman Bennett Ford, 88, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Carolinas Hospital System in Marion. He was born in Horry County, a son of the late Daniel Roy and Eunice Jackson Ford. Mr. Ford was predeceased in addition to his parents by his wife, Louise F. Ford, six brothers Zarvis, Reuben Asbury Buck , Boyd, Daniel Roy, Jr., John Luther Luke , and Edgar Brooks Ford; and a sister, Bernice Nunnery. He is survived by two sons, Ralph Watson Ford and his wife Nan of Columbia and George Eric Ford and his wife Melissa of Nichols, a very special nephew, Charlie Fogle and his wife, Cindy of Nichols; a sister, Sarah Connelly of Nichols; six grandchildren, Jenny Fogle Gore, Austin Chase, Brandon Reid, Gordon Daniel, Colin Daniel, and Jackson Eric, and two great-grandchildren, Maddie Rose and Emma Kate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Floyds Cemetery near Nichols.
