Nichols- James R. Elliott, 82, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Conway Manor. He was born in Horry County, a son of the late Robert Paul and Estelle Rushing Elliott. He worked for many years for the S.C. Highway Department and was a farmer. Mr. Elliott was predeceased in addition to his parents, by his wife, Jerelene G. Elliott; one son, Mitchell A. Elliott; a grandson, Jason Elliott; a brother, J.P. Elliott and a sister, Shelby Elliott. He is survived by three brothers, Larry Elliott, Wayne Elliott, and Ronnie P. Elliott all of Nichols; one sister, Lula Belle Anderson (Arvil) of High Point, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Polly H. Elliott of Nichols, and one grandchild, Cade Mitchell Elliott. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols directed by Meares Funeral Home of Mullins.
