Nichols- James D. Jimmy Hayes, 60, died peacefully at his home Sunday, February 12, 2012 with his family by his side. He was born in Horry County, a son of the late J.P. Hayes and the late Polly Anne Yarborough Hayes. Mr. Hayes is survived by his wife, Cathy Hayes of Nichols; three daughters, Polly Anne (Jeremiah) Henderson of Pageland, S.C., Jamie (Jason) Cunningham of Columbia, S.C., and Jennifer Hayes of Nichols; one sister, Pat (Stokes) Sarvis of Effingham, S.C., and three grandchildren, Bart and Bailey Chestnut and James Richard Jarick Henderson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2012 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols. A message of condolence for the family may be left at mearesfh.com.
