Mullins-

James Glen Birddog King, 49, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in Bland, Virginia following a brief illness. He was born in Horry County, the son of the late James B. King and Frances B. King.

Glen was predeceased by his father, James B. King.

He is survived by his mother, Frances B. King of Nichols; three sisters, Martha King (Robbie) Bibbee of Nichols, Mary King of Nichols, and Debra Causey of Green Sea; five aunts, Margaret Rabon, Ann Ott, Helen Rivenbark, Lois Chestnut, and Edna Martin; two nieces, Karen Merck and Nikki Huggins; one nephew, Robert Bibbee; two great-nephews, Joseph Merck and Chance Huggins; two great-nieces, Janey Merck and Savanah Huggins and many cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Nichols with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
