James Harry Rogers, 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Mullins on Thursday, November 7, 2019.  He was born in Mullins on July 22, 1950, the son of the late Harry Everette Rogers and Josephine Christmas Rogers.  An avid Gamecock fan, James loved the game of football, being a Monday morning quarterback and sharing his knowledge of the sport with others. He could often be found around town drinking coffee and spending time with his friends.  His greatest love; however, was for his daughter, Tara, and his grandchildren, Matthew and Laney.

James was predeceased, in addition to his father, by his son, James Harry Rogers II "Jamie" and a brother, Ronald Allen Rogers.

He is survived by his mother, Jo Christmas Rogers, his daughter, Tara Rogers Garris and her husband, Kevin of Green Sea; two grandchildren, Matthew and Laney Garris, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Cedardale Cemetery with Reverend Kevin Garris and Reverend Rickey Hartsoe officiating.
