Frances Jeanette Crawford, 82, of Mullins, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 21, 2018 following a period of declining health. She was born in Horry County on August 3, 1935, the daughter of the late Robert Laneau Crawford and the late Myrtle Fowler Crawford. Jeanette spent several years working for the telephone company before changing her career to become a hair stylist. She had a sweet soul filled with love and kindness that touched everyone, especially the people that sat in her chair in her shop. Her clients were like family to her, and she treated them as such, caring as much about their well-being as she did their hair.

Jeanette is survived by her longtime companion, Ellis Alford of Mullins; a special friend who was like a sister, Jimmie Mae Norton of Nichols; her aunt, Jean Fowler of Hartsville, and many special cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Cedardale Cemetery in Mullins with Reverend Jim Kirkland and Reverend Kevin Garris officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.  Jeanette is in the care of Meares Funeral Home.
