Nichols- Jimmy Brown, 62, of Nichols passed away suddenly on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Carolinas Hospital System in Marion. He was born in Mullins, a son of the late James Brown and Vera Foley Brown Thomas. Jimmy dearly loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren, and was a friend to everyone that knew him. In addition to his father, Jimmy was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Brown. He is survived by his mother, Vera Foley Brown Thomas of Hopkins, S.C.; his wife of forty-five years, Linda Brown of Nichols; one son, Jimmy Ray Brown, Jr. of Nichols; one daughter, Rhonda Gail (Jesse) Cox of Nichols; one brother, Larry (Margaret) Brown of Lexington, S.C.; two sisters, Virginia Gail McRae and Betty Jean Hickox both of Hopkins; four grandchildren, Victoria "Boo" Ashley Ray, Autumn Elizabeth Brown, Winter Rae Cox, and James Ray Brown. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins.
