Nichols- Jimmy Rushing, 74, died Friday, March 22, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Marion County, a son of the late Henry Levoe and Lena Mary Baxley Rushing. Mr. Rushing was predeceased in addition to his parents, by a sister, Betty Jean Rushing Skipper. He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Lester Rushing of Ridgeland and Henry Rushing of Sumter; a daughter, DeRhonda Nobles of Mullins; two brothers, T.H. Tilman (Lydia) Rushing of Sumter and William Edward (Deborah) Rushing of Nichols; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2013 at Cedardale Cemetery in Mullins directed by Meares Funeral Home.
