Obituary

Josette Page Grainger, 80, of Mullins passed away peacefully at McLeod Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on August 22, 1943, the daughter of the late Harris Vernon Gore, Sr. and the late Jane McKeithan Gore Perry.

Josette was a true southern lady with a heart of gold. You could always find her with a smile on her face offering words of encouragement to others. She began her banking career with Anderson Brothers Bank and retired from there after over thirty years. Through the years, she made many friends at the bank and people always looked forward to seeing her there.

She devoted her life to her family and her Lord. She, along with her husband, raised three children, and they were blessed with two wonderful daughters-in-law and a son-in-law, and beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was so proud to be their Mama and their MaMa. She was a member of Mullins First Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Following the passing of her husband, Josette later remarried Edward Grainger. They enjoyed traveling and making memories together through their later years. He preceded her in death in January of last year.

In addition to her parents, Josette was predeceased by her first husband, Stuart Randolph Page, Sr., her second husband, George Edward Grainger, and a sister, Frances "Frankie" Gore.

She is survived by two sons, Stuart Randolph "Randy" Page, Jr. (Gina) and Lloyd Vernon "Bo" Page (Missy); a daughter, Tracey Page Martin (Dickie); a brother, Harris Vernon "H.V." Gore,  Jr, all of Mullins; four grandchildren, Madison Page, Storm Page (Alicia), Clay Martin (Kayla) and Meg King (Justin); four great-grandchildren, Creek Page, Cove Page, Sawyer Martin, and Grainger King, and her beloved Yorkie, George.
