William Kenneth "Kenny" Rowell, 74, of Nichols passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2022 at McLeod Loris Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Marion County on July 24, 1948, the son of the late William Roland Rowell, Jr., and the late Miriam Causey Rowell.

Kenny was a kind and gentle man who loved his family, his Lord and Savior, and the land. He enjoyed farming and the peacefulness that it brought him, but it was selling heavy equipment that brought him many lifelong friends. Kenny loved animals, especially his cats, and no stray that showed up at his home ever went hungry. He enjoyed spending time around the pond in his back yard and making sure that the fish were fed. He was an active member of Spring Branch Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Kenny was predeceased by a brother, Mitchell Rowell and his son-in-law, Alfred Garner, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judy Cole Rowell; a son, Kevin Rowell, his daughter, Michelle Rowell Garner, all of Nichols; a brother, Michael Rowell (Sheila) of Columbia; three nieces, a nephew, and two great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 19, 2022 in the sanctuary of Spring Branch Baptist Church in Nichols. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday in the sanctuary of the church. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery.

If you would like to remember Kenny, the family suggests that memorials be made in his memory to the Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 6710 Church Loop, Nichols, South Carolina 29581.
