Nichols
Larry L. Stroud, 61, of Nichols passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 17, 2022 following a sudden illness. Larry was born in Mullins on January 17, 1961, the son of the late Thomas Lamar Stroud and the late Audrey Idell Collins Stroud.
Spending time in the outdoors was a large part of Larry's life. He loved to fish and hunt, and it did not matter if it was fishing on the river or in the ocean, he loved them both. He along with his wife, Sheila enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time together. Racing was another outdoor sport that Larry enjoyed, and he often attended the races or watched them on television. He also enjoyed camping on the river as well as spending time with his dogs.
In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by a sister, Donna Kaye Stroud.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Spivey Stroud of Nichols; a brother, Thomas Eugene Stroud of West Palm Beach, Florida; three sisters, Myrilan Stroud Martin of Marion, Opal Pearl Turner (Jim) and Patricia "Pat" Stroud, both of Nichols, and his beloved canine kids, Rambo and Diva.
A graveside service will be held on what would have been his 29 th year of marriage to Shelia, at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Cedar Creek Stroud Cemetery in Nichols. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service and at other times at the home.
