Florence- Lawson Jordan, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. He was born in Marion County, a son of the late Lawson and Gladys McLucas Jordan, Jr. Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Peggy McMillan Ford Jordan of Florence; a stepson, John Ford of Florence; two stepdaughters, Lisa Ford (Allen) Matthews of Florence and Julie Ford (Jonathon) Formo of Myrtle Beach; one sister, Sarah Langston of Florence; a nephew, Richard (Karen) Langston of Florence; four stepgrandsons; one great-nephew, and one great-niece. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Macedonia United Methodist Churchs Christ Prayer Chapel in Mullins directed by Meares Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
