Obituary

Leasie Williamson Cook, 67, of Nichols passed away, Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. She was born in Loris, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Ned Williamson and Katherine Harrelson Williamson.

Leasie was a homemaker and caregiver.  She loved watching the Hallmark Channel and watching church services on television.  She enjoyed crocheting for others and making blankets for cancer babies.  Leasie was always doing for others and especially loved sending flowers to friends and family.  She had a passion for talking on the phone and listening to beach music.

In addition to her father, Ned Williamson, Leasie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leroy Cook.

She is survived by her mother, Katherine Williamson; her son, Roy Lee Cook and his ex-wife, Kristina; her daughter, Jamie L. Cook; a sister, Faye Williamson Lindsey; her canine companion, Fluffy, and several nieces and nephews which she dearly loved.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2020 at Cook Cemetery in Lake View with Reverend Art Ramsey officiating.  Due to the vulnerability of several members of the family, the family requests that only immediate family members be in attendance; however, visitation will immediately follow the service.  It is requested that if you choose to attend the visitation, you take extra precaution to keep the family safe.

If you would like to remember Leasie, the family suggests that memorials be made in her memory to North Mullins Baptist Church, P.O. Box 52, Mullins, South Carolina 29574.

An online guestbook is available at www.mearesfh.com .

Leasie is in the care of Meares Funeral Home of Mullins.
