Leroy Cook, 69, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at his home in Nichols. He was born in Mullins, a son of the late Archie Justin Cook and the late Mamie Esther Suggs Cook. Leroy had retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation. He loved cars, especially Corvettes. He enjoyed attending car shows and watching car shows on television. He dearly loved his family and his poodle, Fluffy.

Leroy was predeceased in addition to his parents, by a brother, James Cook.

He is survived by his wife, Leasie Williamson Cook of Nichols; a son, Roy Lee Cook and his wife, Kristina of Myrtle Beach; his daughter, Jamie L. Cook of Nichols; four brothers, Carl (Nancy) Cook of Michigan, John (Susan) Cook of Nichols, David Cook of Nichols, and Elroy (Ann) Cook of Georgia; and his canine companion, Fluffy.

A graveside service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2018 at Cook Cemetery in Lake View. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. Leroy is in the care of Meares Funeral Home of Mullins.
