Obituary

Elizabeth Nick Rogers, 81, of Mullins passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 29, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Marion County on July 7, 1939, the daughter of the late George Nick and the late Mabel Best Nick.

To know Lib was to know love. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved the Mullins community and the people here, and the ones who knew her loved her as well. An animal lover, she would take care of anything that needed care and she had the wonderful ability to tell stories. Lib enjoyed attending and being active in the fellowship at Mullins First Baptist Church. She was a woman with a very strong-will, which at times made things difficult as her health declined.

In addition to her parents, Lib was predeceased by a brother, George Nick, Jr., a half-brother, John Nick and a half-sister, Mildred Dixon.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracie Norris and her husband, Reed of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; two sisters, Debbie Nick Jones (Kenny) of Florence and Jean Nick Spanos of Tarpon Springs, Florida; and her precious granddaughters, Langley, Waverly, and Blakely Norris.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Cedardale Cemetery in Mullins with Reverend Robbie Baxley officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

If you would like to remember Lib, the family suggests that memorials be made in her memory to Mission Mullins, P.O. Box 671, Mullins, South Carolina 29574.

The family would like to thank Lib's caregivers, Joyce Floyd, Teresa Hewitt, Melvinia Wade and Patriot Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Lib. They would also like to thank special friends, Frank and Kaye Larrimore for their kindness and support as special neighbors through the years.

An online guestbook is available at www.mearesfh.com .

Lib is in the care of Meares Funeral Home of Mullins.
