Olivia Evans "Libby" Collins, 68, of Conway and formerly of the Pleasant View Community, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. She was born in Horry County on February 1, 1953, the daughter of the late Robert Evans and the late Lorraine Johnson Evans.

Libby was a proud Christian and the rock of her family. The wife of a tobacco farmer in the Pleasant View Community, Libby knew the joy and struggle of raising a family on a farm. She helped her husband harvest the year's crop, raised four children, and took care of her elders all while earning a master's degree in education. She went on to teach at both Green Sea Floyds Elementary School and Green Sea Floyds Middle School. Libby had a lifelong love of laughing, reading, and learning. She instilled in her children the importance of getting a good education, treating others with respect, and loving others. Libby was a strong and determined woman who adored her husband, children, extended family, and friends. She was always there to listen when they needed her advice and words of truth. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Libby was predeceased by her beloved husband, Floyd Michael "Mike" Collins.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Michael Collins (Mary Grace) of Conway and David Mathew Collins (Carmen) of Aynor; two daughters, Devan Shah (Neel) of Duluth, Georgia and Lindsey Edge (Joel) of Conway; a brother, Harold Strickland (Cecilia) of Rock Hill; a sister, Kerniece Reynolds, (Billy Chancellor) of Decatur, Alabama, her grandchildren, Suri Liv Shah, Ethan Neel Shah, and Collin Daniel Edge.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2021 in the sanctuary of Pleasant View Baptist Church with interment to follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the committal service.
