Obituary

Linda Kaye Stroud Thompson, 49, of Mullins passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. She was born in Mullins, South Carolina on March 20, 1973, the daughter of the late Randall Laverne Stroud and the late Linda Gail Cook Stroud.

Linda Kaye loved flowers, cooking and most of all, children. She diligently worked to earn her CNA license because she enjoyed helping people. She volunteered for fundraisers, had empathy for the underdog and exhibited a forgiving nature. Linda Kaye gathered people, converted them to friends, and eventually transformed them into family. She leaves behind many special people that she would honestly call daughter, son, grandchild, companion, aunt, uncle, grandmother, grandfather, sister, or brother. If you were fortunate enough to be loved by her, you know the special name she identified you as in her life.

In addition to her parents, Linda Kaye was predeceased by a son, Evan Dale Stroud.

She is survived by her sister, Cynthia Stroud Heil (Bob), nephew, Andrew, and niece, Susan, of Gurley, Alabama.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2022 in the chapel of Meares Funeral Home of Mullins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.

If you would like to remember Linda Kaye, the family suggests that memorials be made in her memory to United World Mission, 205 Regency Executive Park Dr, Ste 430, Charlotte, North Carolina 28217, or a charity of your choice.
