Galivants Ferry- Margaret C. Holden, 71, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her home. She was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late William Oscar and Bertha Prince Jordan Sr. Mrs. Holden was predeceased in addition to her parents, by her husband, Caffie Holden, a daughter, Vickie Darlene Holden, and a brother, James Hank Jordan. She is survived by a son, Randy Holden of Galivants Ferry; two daughters, Karlene (Curtis) Best and Teresa (Billy) Dinkins, both of Galivants Ferry; one brother, Pete (Ruby) Jordan of Marion; three sisters, Lib (Charlie) Perritt, Katie (Herman) Perritt, and Nellie Hickman, all of Galivants Ferry; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Galivants Ferry Baptist Church directed by Meares Funeral Home of Mullins. Burial will follow the service at Aynor Cemetery.
