Margarett Goodrich Buffkin, 91, of Mullins passed away peacefully on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the home of her son. She was born in Fairfax, Virginia on June 19, 1929, the daughter of the late James Sherman Goodrich and the late Carrie F. Warren Goodrich.

Margaret enjoyed gardening, sewing and colorful conversations with others.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, A.B. Buffkin, a son, Bill Henry Buffkin, two brothers, Jamie and Teddy Goodrich, three sisters, Sarah Vaughn, Fannie Goodrich, and Peggy Newcomb, and a grandson, Bill Buffkin.

She is survived by her son, Robbie Bishop Buffkin and his wife, Polly of Mullins; a brother, Bob Goodrich (Barbara) of Virginia, three sisters, Lillian Russell Newcomb, Daisy Mae White, and Clarice Cannady (B.J.) all of Virginia; five grandchildren, John, Ben (Ellen), Katie, Blake, and Clay (Jae) Buffkin; six great-grandchildren, and a special niece, Teresa Newcomb.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2021 in the chapel of Meares Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
