Mark Alan Foil, Sr., 63, of Rock Hill, South Carolina passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina, on June 19, 1956, the son of the late Dr. William C. Foil and Patricia P. Foil.

Mark was a graduate of East Side High School in Greenville, South Carolina and had attended Brevard College. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy and later worked for General Motors Acceptance Corporation for thirty years. In his free time, Mark enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing and working in his and his neighbors' yards.

Mark was predeceased in addition to his father, by a sister, Dr. Beth Foil.

He is survived by his wife Susan Stackhouse Foil of Rock Hill; a son, Mark Alan Foil, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly of Charleston; his daughter, Lorie Anne Foil of Rock Hill; four grandchildren, Kevin Mock, Patrick Mock, Kimney Foil, Mark Alan Foil, III, Caden Edge Foil, his mother, Patricia P. Foil of Mullins, a brother, Andrew "Drew" Foil and his wife, Jan of Mullins; nieces, Brittany Foil Shelley (Blake) and their children, Keely and Logan, Lindsay Foil Matthews and her children, Ashton and Emilia, Tarah Bailey, and Sally Tucker Foil and her child, Adrian Foil; sister-in-law, Marianne Stackhouse of Mullins and a brother-in-law, Jim Stackhouse of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

A graveside memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Cedardale Cemetery in Mullins.  The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
