Marshall Eugene
Elliott
Oct 29, 1953 — May 25, 2024
Mullins
Marshall Eugene Elliott, 70, of Mullins passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the home of his sister, Alice, who cared for him as his health declined. He was born in Mullins on October 29, 1953, the son of the late George Elliott and the late Sarah Mae Newell Elliott.
Marshall was always a hard worker and had worked as a machine operator at a local furniture manufacturing plant. Marshall instilled the importance of hard work in his children. He was especially proud of his son, Dillon, who took his father's advice and started his own tree service. Marshall proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
Marshall was a dedicated father to his children and grandchildren, and they brought him great joy. He loved nothing more than taking them for an afternoon ride, listening to music, and making memories at the park. Marshall also enjoyed spending time with his friends. He was an avid Gamecock fan and loved watching old westerns on television.
In addition to his parents, Marshall was predeceased by a brother, Steve Elliott, a sister, Judy Bullard, and a niece, Jennifer Bullard.
He is survived by his sons, Keith, Steven, and Dillon (Bridgette) Elliott; daughters, Heather Elliott, Regina Phillips, and Loren (Buddy) Owens; fourteen grandchildren; his sisters, Alice Cullipher and Gail Williamson; special nieces and nephews, Crystal Peebles, Chris Cullipher, and Mark Bullard, and a best friend, Charles Lambert.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Elliott Cemetery in Nichols. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service and at other times at the home of Dillon Elliott, 6847 Nicholson Drive in Mullins.
If you would like to remember Marshall, the family suggests that donations be made in his memory to Elliott Cemetery, c/o Terry Wayne Elliott, 151 Leaning Branch Loop, Nichols, South Carolina 29581.
