Merle P. Tucker, 78, passed away peacefully and with her family by her side at Harbor Chase on Sunday, April 6, 2014. She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Clyde and Lecie Stroud Patterson.

Mrs. Tucker was predeceased in addition to her parents by her husband, James L. Tucker.

She is survived by a son, Tony Tucker and his wife, Kim of Rock Hill and a daughter Tina Cogginsand her husband, Ken of Savannah, Georgia, and two grandchildren, Jamie and Colton Tucker.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Cedardale Cemetery in Mullins officiated by Reverend Marty Cox. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. The services will be directed by Meares Funeral Home of Mullins.
