Mullins- Nancy M. Smith, 79, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 at her home with her daughters by her side. She was born in Marion County, the daughter of the late Gaddy Brown McCormick and Fleetwood Perritt Roberts McCormick. Mrs. Smith, along with her late husband, Francis D. Smith, operated Smith's Grocery for many years. She was a kindhearted person who loved her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was predeceased in addition to her parents and husband, by a brother, Gaddy B. McCormick, Jr.; four sisters, Beulah M. Garris, Jean M. Boatwright, Brownie McCormick, and Mickey M. Morrison, and a son-in-law, Glenn David Crotts, Sr. She is survived by two daughters, Susan S. Crotts of Mullins and Ree (Franklin) Smith of Lexington; one sister, Kay M. (Cliff) Pearce of Columbia, five grandchildren, David, John, and Lee Crotts and Taylor and Austin Smith. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Red Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum directed by Meares Funeral Home.
