Mullins- Rachel Dessie Tijerina, 24, died Sunday, January 22, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Marion County, a daughter of Raul Tijerina and Jeanette Miller. She is survived by her father, Raul Tijerina of Mullins; her mother and stepfather, Jeanette and Boyd Miller of Andrews, S.C.; a son, Bentley Joseph Gainey and his father, Joseph Dewayne Gainey of Mullins; two sisters, Maria T. (Kenneth) Files of Chestertown, Maryland and Jodie Tijerina of Mullins; one stepbrother, William C. Miller of Andrews, and two stepsisters, Tonya (Robert) Rabon of Titusville, Florida, and Courtney Lynn Miller of Andrews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2012 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rehobeth Methodist Church Cemetery.
