Charles Richard Bullard, 72, of Nichols entered into eternal peace on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Conway Medical Center. He was born in Marion County on January 2, 1950, the son of the late James Alton Bullard and the late Retha Bell Sanderson Bullard.

Upon his graduation from high school, Richard entered the United States Navy, where he proudly served his country. Following his time in the Navy, Richard joined the staff of Smith-Rogers Oil Company, where he spent over thirty years and many miles as a truck driver. Richard was a dedicated Christian who lived by his faith in God and as a preacher, enjoyed sharing God's word with others. His faith also carried over into his love of music and allowed him to be able to share God's love through music. Richard, along with his brother, Joe were self-taught musicians who performed with a gospel group. He loved his family and joins his beloved wife and daughter in God's care.

In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his wife, Judy Elliott Bullard; a daughter, Jennifer Bullard; brothers, Jimmy, Henry, George, and James Bullard; and a sister, Evelyn Stanley.

He is survived by his son, Mark Bullard and granddaughter, Addison of Mullins; a brother, Joe Bullard and his wife, Rachel of Loris; numerous nieces and nephews, and a best friend who was like a son, Josh Elliott of Nichols.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Elliott Cemetery in Nichols. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
