Ricky Gene "Ricky Rogers" Byrd, 56, of Pamplico passed away, Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Regency Hospital in Florence. He was born in Marion County, the son of the late A.C. Byrd and Joan Allen Byrd. An outdoor enthusiast, Ricky enjoyed hunting, fishing, mud bogging, drag racing, and riding 4-wheelers. He could often be found cutting grass.

Ricky was predeceased by his father, A.C. Byrd; a sister, Cindy Rogers Turner, and his father-in-law, Phillip Ham.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Ham Byrd; a daughter, Desirea Nicole Byrd both of Pamplico; his mother, Joan Allen Byrd; a brother, Craig Rogers; a sister, Patricia Rogers all of Mullins; his stepfather, Burnie (Tammy) Rogers of Marion; his mother-in-law, Peggy Alford Ham of Mullins, his sister-in-law, Melissa Baxley of Mullins, a special nephew Timothy Baxley, and many close friends.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. At his request, there is no service planned.
