Ricky Shane McKenzie, 55, of Nichols passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016. He was born in Marion County, the son of the late Bobby F. McKenzie and Bobbie Causey McKenzie. Ricky loved the outdoors, and especially the river.

Ricky was predeceased in addition to his father, by a son, Hunter Chase McKenzie.

He is survived by his mother, Bobbie C. McKenzie of Nichols; a daughter, Shana Kaitlin McKenzie of North Myrtle Beach; and a sister, Debbie M. Anderson and her husband, Barry of Nichols.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2016 at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols with Reverend John Wallace and Reverend Kevin Garris officiating and directed by Meares Funeral Home of Mullins. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service and at other times at the Anderson home in Nichols.
