Nichols- Ronald L. Fogle, 64, of Nichols passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Carolinas Hospital System in Marion with his wife by his side. Born in Marion County, he was the son of the late Linwood L. Fogle and Lila Britt Fogle. He was a member of Wannamaker Baptist Church in Nichols. Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp, having served in the Vietnam War. Having been a veteran himself, he strongly believed in honoring his country and the lives of those who valiantly served their country. He was predeceased by his father, Linwood L. Fogle. Surviving Ronald are his mother, Lila Britt Fogle of Fair Bluff, North Carolina; his wife, Joyce Hammond Fogle of Nichols; a son, Stephen Fogle of Athens, Georgia; two stepsons, Bobby Bullard and Bradley (Sierra) Bullard; two brothers, Gerald (Gloria) Fogle and Charles "Chuck" Fogle all of Nichols; two step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Dr. Ray Lundy officiating. Burial will be at Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Nichols.
