Ronnie Andrew Rowell, 52, of Nichols passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born in Marion County, the son of Guy Elliott Rowell and the late Jackie Collins Anderson.

Ronnie was a heavy materials handler before becoming disabled due to illness. He loved to cook and spend time learning about his family history. A great lover of bluegrass music, he enjoyed listening to it and even bought himself a banjo. Ronnie loved reading his Bible and would not hesitate to declare his faith in Jesus Christ. His greatest love was for his family and his friends.

Ronnie was predeceased by his mother, Jackie Collins Anderson.

Surviving Ronnie are his wife, Faye Rowell of Nichols; two sons, Andrew Atkinson and Brandon Rowell, both of Nichols; a daughter, Courtney Jackson (Justin) of Dillon; two brothers, Gene Rowell of San Diego, California and Randy Rowell (Nancy) of Loris; and three grandchildren, Walter Causey, Sophia Jackson, and Caitlynn Rowell.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2018 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins and at other times at the home of Faye Rowell. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 17 ^th in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Sandy Plains Methodist Church Cemetery

If you would like to remember Ronnie, the family suggests that memorials be made in his memory to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2610 Mt. Zion Road, Loris, South Carolina 29569.
