Ronald L. "Ronnie" Shooter, 73, of Nichols passed away on March 27, 2020 at his farm in Dillon County. He was born in Marion County on August 21, 1946, a son of the late John W. Shooter and the late Helen S. Shooter.  Ronnie graduated from The Citadel in 1969 where he obtained a degree in Education.  He taught school briefly before joining his father in the family business, Shooter's Ice.  He enjoyed farming, fishing, and was a collector of all kinds of things.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was predeceased by his wife, Pam Bellamy Shooter; a son, Lee Shooter and a brother, Johnny Shooter.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ellen Shooter and her companion, James Lewis of New Bern, NC and a granddaughter, Lusille Lewis.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2020 in the chapel of Meares Funeral Home.
