Nichols- Ruthene F. Housand, 77, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. She was born in Columbus County on December 31, 1937, a daughter of the late Seymour L. and Amanda F. Fowler. Ruthene attended Tabor City High School and then went on to Twin Jay's Cosmetology School in Mullins. She was predeceased by her husband Quincey E. Housand a grandson, Shane Housand, five sisters, and two brothers. Ruthene is survived by her two sons, Stevie and Timothy Housand of Nichols; three sisters, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Mt.
