Obituary

Sarah Margaret Clark Rogers of Mullins and mother of Ray, Janet, and Rodney, passed away peacefully at Pruitt Health in Dillon on Saturday, April 27, 2024. She was born in Dillon County on May 10, 1932, the daughter of the late Robert Connie Clark and the late Mary Jackson Clark.

Sarah was a loving wife to her late husband, Doug Rogers, for seventy-four years. Together they raised three children in a loving home, and today there was a glorious reunion as she joined Doug in their heavenly home. She was a huge supporter of her children as they grew up, attending their games and activities. She was a member of Mullins First Baptist Church.

Sarah was known for her style and elegance, as she spent many years working in the clothing and cosmetic industry. She had a deep appreciation for fashion and always knew how to help her customers find the perfect outfit for any occasion. Helping young girls get ready for prom and young women get ready for weddings was one of her favorite things to do. Truly a sweet and gentle soul, she made friends easily and made people feel comfortable as she helped them with their makeup and outfits. In her free time, she enjoyed reading.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Doug, a daughter-in-law, Deborah Quick Rogers, and a sister, Mamie Fowler.

She is survived by two sons, Douglas Ray Rogers, II of Dillon and Rodney Rogers and his wife, Sonya of Latta, a daughter, Janet Rogers McRae and her husband, Warren of Mullins; six grandchildren, Douglas Ray Rogers, III "Tray", Kylee Jenerette, Carson Rogers, Weston Rogers, Samuel George, and Joshua George, and a great-grandchild, Piper Jo Jenerette.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2024 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Dillon with Reverend Robbie Baxley officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

If you would like to remember Sarah, the family suggests that donations be made in her memory to Mullins First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 443, Mullins, South Carolina 29574 or to the Marion County Animal Shelter, 123 Dog and Cat Court, Mullins, South Carolina 29574.
